SDYT is a new creative drama and performance initiative brought to you from The Singing and Drama Studio.

We aim to provide an enriching experience for young people interested in theatre production.

Participation and fees: Membership is open to young people from 1st – 3rd year equivalent in secondary school.  Commitment is required, as our students will be involved in all aspects of theatre production. Those already enrolled for classes at The Singing and Drama Studio receive a discount on SDYT fees. Please see our pricing information HERE.

Fees do not include any costs that may be associated with productions and are charged separately*.

Education and skill development: Students will participate in diverse skill learning opportunities providing a well-rounded education in all aspects of theatre making. They will gain production and performance experience, participate in workshops, create their own work, and meet industry professionals.

Performance: We will work on two productions per year – January and May/June.

Attendance: Youth Theatre is a commitment. Students are required to attend their weekly classes, other than in case of illness. We are working on performance goals; attendance ensures that all students can benefit from the collective learning that occurs in this ensemble environment. Zoom attendance is not offered in Youth Theatre classes.
